Moses Dirisena, was born and raised in Andhra Pradesh, South India in 1972. He attended Xavier’s Primary School, Sir CRR college for Intermediate and Graduation.
He grew up in a Christian home and in 1998 he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. The family attended Evangelical Church, In his teenage years Moses was active in the church and made commitment to serve the Lord when he grew.
Pastor Moses graduated with a B.A.,B.D., in India, and had his professional studies in Computers. He Worked as a Computer Programmer with a Pharmaceutical Company before being called into full time Christian Service. In 1999 in obedience to God's call, he left his secular job and was ordained to the Full Time Gospel Ministry.
In 1996 Moses married Shaleam (born & raised in Christian family) and they have 2 daughters Monika & Mercy, saved and baptized. Family is an important part of his life and ministry.
Pastor Moses planted Carmel Gospel Missions Independent Baptist Church, in 2006 in a remote village called Kamavarapukota, Eluru District, Andhra Pradesh, South India. In addition, in 2017 Moses planted another church in tribal village called Jellugumilli which is 50 kms from the 1st Church.
In addition to being the Pastor of two local churches in Kamavarapu Kota, & Jellugumilli villages, Moses and his wife Shaleam are active in several ministries including: Church Planting & Soul Winning, Evangelism in Rural & Tribal areas, Organizing and conducting Gospel Evangelistic Meetings, Pastor and Leadership Seminars, Orphaned Children’s Home, Day Care Center, Lepers Ministry, Helping Aid to Pastor’s, HIV-AIDS Children, Widows & the Needy.
Moses and his wife have a great burden to reach people in the communities of Kamvarapukota & Jellugumilli with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their greatest joy is for people to discover they can have their sins forgiven through faith in Jesus Christ.
